Wedding gowns start to fall apart at the alter
Many brides have had their big days ruined as a result of their wedding dresses literally falling to pieces as they are walking down the aisle.
The dresses, worth more than £100,000 in total, all began to fall apart at the seams after being put on by the brides a few hours beforehand.
The shop that the dresses have been bought from, La Belle Bridal Wear in Swansea, refused to comment about the situation, and are being investigated, as no refunds have been received either.
30-year-old Natalie Howes said: ‘Both shoulder straps snapped before the reception had even started. Then the skirt began to unravel. It was supposed to be the happiest day of my life but I spent it worrying the dress would fall apart altogether.’
Kayley Criddle, 26, also added: ‘My wedding dress smelled strongly of damp in the aisle. I was paranoid people might think I smelled.’ 35-year-old Charlotte Hurford mentioned: ‘I felt I had a bed sheet on, not my wedding dress.’
