Vera Wang debuts black wedding dress collection
Vera Wang has unveiled a new range of dresses that may be ideal for wedding insurance customers looking for something a bit different for their big day.
The fashion designer’s latest bridal collection includes frocks made from black lace that might be an option for brides looking to break with tradition and not wear white.
Wang, who designed wedding dresses for Kim Kardashian’s recent marriage to Kris Humphries, has produced gowns in pastel shades in the past.
This year’s collection, which was debuted at bridal fashion week in New York, does not contain any ivory gowns, however some of the pieces were accented by nude-coloured shades, including one that incorporated a lighter-coloured skirt with a darker top.
Those who opt for one of Wang’s creations and want to ensure the dress stays in good condition after being worn may want to follow the advice of designer Lisa Gowing, who told Australian Vogue that gowns should be dry cleaned as soon as possible after the ceremony.
