The runaway bride that won her dream wedding
A bride from Chester won herself a dream wedding by making it from Chester to London and back again in just 8 hours.
Friday the 13th of August proved to be a lucky day for 3 hopeful brides from Chester who all got the opportunity to enter a competition through a local radio station to win a luxury wedding at the McDonald Craxton Wood wedding venue. They were taken to a mystery location in Chester and were set the challenge of getting as far away from the city as possible and back again that day for 5pm.
Helen Smith made it all the way to Scotland but was disqualified when she was 10 minutes late. Laura Morris travelled 40 miles to Wigan and back again. Whilst Emma Burton came first place by travelling all the way to South London and making it back to Chester with 8 minutes to spare.
Emma triumphed when two local businessmen took pity on her when they saw that she’s been refused a free ticket at the station.
