Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell wed
After a whirlwind engagement, Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell tied the knot on Sunday at the Marylebone Registry Office in London.
The ceremony was held in front of a small group of 30 close family and friends, and the reception was then held at McCartney’s home in North London. The couple were picked up and taken to their reception in a car along with Paul’s daughter Beatrice acting as bridesmaid.
The newlyweds were full of smiles as they exited the registry office, with guests showering the couple with rose petals. The ivory, knee-length gown wore by Nancy Shevell was thought to be designed by McCartney’s daughter Stella.
Among the few guests, Ringo Starr and his wife Barbara were spotted at the reception, as well as daughter Stella McCartney and Jools Holland. Paul also sang a new song for his wife at their reception.
The couple will also fly out to New York, home of Nancy Shevell, to a second gathering at their home in the Hamptons.
