Jilted bride sues her ex fiancé $100,000 for cancelling wedding
A bride from Chicago is suing her ex fiancé for damages of $95,000, after he cancelled their engagement just four days before the wedding.
Dominique Buttitta and Vito Salerno were supposed to be getting married on 2 October this year in front of all their friends and family. Dominique had spent her own money to pay for the lavish wedding celebration. This included $30,000 on the reception, $10,000 for music and entertainment, $ 5000 for her bridal gown and over $10,000 for flowers and lighting.
However, when her fiancé backed out at the last minute, te 32 year old lawyer felt she had she had a case againist her ex fiancé.
She claims that her ex fiancé’s cold hearted actions “ went beyond the bounds of human decency” and by changing his mind was a breach of promise. Buttitta is now claiming damages of $95,000 due to his breach of promise to marry and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
