Father & daughter do wedding dance
Father and daughter dances are becoming increasingly more popular at weddings. The tradition was that the bride and groom have a ‘first dance’ but now more and more brides are choosing to have a wedding dance with their father as well as their new husband.
Ashley Richmond of Texas married husband Nicholas in August but it was her and her fathers’ dance that stole the show.
The duo danced away to a medley of Motown classics and top 40 hits. They coordinated moves to ten different songs from Temptations hit My Girl to Beyonce’s Single Ladies. Each song provoked laughter and cheers from friends and family.
Paying tribute to her father’s favourites they also danced to Jackson five’s ABC and at one point even busted out the Robot move to the nineties classic Jump On It.
The dance lasted nearly five minutes and was a great surprise for guests; it put a smile on everyone’s face.
