Duchess of Alba ties the knot with toy boy 25 years her junior
The flamboyant Duchess of Alba, Cayetana Fitz-James Stuart, 85, has got married to 60 year old Alfonso Diez at her 15th Centry palace in Seville yesterday.
The bride wore a pale pink wedding gown for her third marriage, designed by Victorio y Lucchino. The ceremony took place in front of only 38 guests, but hundreds of well-wishers and press gathered outside the gates.
The Duchess is estimated to be worth a whopping £3 billion. Diez was accused many times of being a gold-digger, and so, relinquished his rights to her fortune to prove otherwise. She celebrated her wedding afterwards by kicking off her shoes and flamenco dancing.
The Duchess’ full name is Maria del Rosario Cayetana Alfonsa Victoria Eugenia Francisca Fitz-James Stuart y de Silva, and she is a distant relative of Queen Elizabeth and Winston Churchill.
All six of the Duchess’ children are in her will, having been left her entire fortune split between them. However it has been reported that one of her sons Jacobo is unhappy with his fortune, and two of her children did not attend her wedding.
