Donate your bridal gown to charity
Becky Murtagh, who runs a bridal shop in Stretford, is doing her bit for charity by collecting used wedding dresses in aid of St Ann’s Hospice. The hospice has a special bridal store in Cheadle where it sells the second hand gowns donated to them. Becky helps by collecting the gowns, cleaning them and repairing them if required so they can be sold on in a respectable condition and raise money for the charity. Becky even donated her own wedding dress and encouraged her bridesmaids to do so as the shop also sells bridesmaid’s dresses, accessories and groom and page boys suits that have been donated to them also.
It is a wonderful idea to donate your wedding dress to a charity as most brides will never wear their wedding dresses again and even though they find it hard to part with gowns due to their sentimental value, it makes it easier if it is for a good cause.
