Diana wedding dress set for US display
Wedding insurance customers may be interested to hear the bridal gown worn by the late Princess Diana is set to go on display in the US.
Featuring alongside a series of personal items that once belonged to the royal, the dress will be available for public perusal in Connecticut.
Diana, A Celebration will run until January 15th at the Foxwoods Resort Casino and include family heirlooms, home movies, rare photos, designer outfits and personal mementos.
However, the main attractions are expected to be the wedding gown and tiara, which Princess Diana wore as she tied the knot with Prince Charles in 1981.
The couple later divorced and following Diana’s death in 1997 the heir to the throne went on to marry Camilla Parker-Bowles.
Comparisons were drawn by the press between Kate Middleton and Diana when the former wed Prince William earlier this year at Westminster Abbey in front of a TV audience of millions.
