Brides left at a great loss when bridal shop burns down
A Bridal shop in South Carolina, USA, has burnt down, destroying thousands of wedding dresses and ruining hundreds of weddings.
The shop, named Barbara’s Bridal, housed thousands of wedding dresses, men’s wedding attire, bridesmaid dresses and many other different wedding outfits.
Early on Wednesday morning, the shop set on fire, destroying the entire shop and its contents. The fire is currently thought to be an accident, and officials have confirmed the shop to be a complete loss.
Bride-to-be Gwendolyn Bishop had bought all her wedding attire, and taken it in to Barbara’s Bridal shop for alterations to be made. Before she could pick them up, she was informed of the tragedy, discovering her entire wedding attire collection had been destroyed in the fire, along with hundreds of other bride’s outfits.
Barbara Birch, owner of Barbara’s Bridal, is said to be devastated and trying to collect her thoughts, whilst Miss Bishop and many other brides are panicking in the rush and despair to sort out new outfits for their weddings.
