Bride-to-be’s in Korea have started a new trend of making their own DIY dresses in order to achieve their dream wedding.
The Korea Herald explained that the practice is becoming more popular as many brides-to-be cannot afford to buy an outfit and are forced to either rent one or make their own.
Many brides are now getting together and attending weekly wedding dress workshops, where they can receive guidance, advice and inspiration in producing their own garments.
Sohn Yun-kyung has run a stitch club since 2000 said, “The biggest benefit from enrolling in these courses is that members can take their pick on everything from designs to garments and decorations. Each member is creating her own brand.”
