Singer Katie Melua debuts engagement ring
Katie Melua flashed her engagement ring to fans for the first time during a performance at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in Soho, London.
The Daily Mail reported how the singer appeared on stage wearing a band featuring a large square-cut diamond.
Last month, the Sun claimed the 27-year-old's boyfriend James Toseland had popped the question shortly before Christmas and the pair were secretly engaged.
However, the star waited to confirm the news until after Toseland had announced their plans to marry via his Facebook page.
The World Superbike champion wrote on the site: "I asked Katie to marry me and she said yes. As you can imagine, I am a very happy man right now!"
Melua is not the only celebrity who may be in need of wedding insurance, as Peaches Geldof and Britney Spears both recently announced their engagements.
