Prince William and Kate Middleton Barbies announced
The announcement of new Barbie and Ken dolls may interest couples who last year invested in wedding insurance for nuptials held on the same day as the Prince William and Kate Middleton.
In celebration of the couple's first anniversary, replica dolls designed to look like the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will hit toy stores later this year.
Mattel, which is behind the Barbie brand, has announced the creation of a Ken doll wearing a red military jacket similar to that worn by the prince when he tied the knot.
Meanwhile, Kate Middleton's Barbie look-a-like comes complete with a lace dress not unlike the Alexander McQueen gown seen at the royal wedding.
The dolls are aimed at adult collectors and are expected to retail at £99.99 for the pair.
According to Mattel, the best-selling doll of all time is the 1992 Totally Hair Barbie, which featured long hair from the toy's head to its toes.
