Future of wedding company in doubt
The importance of investing in wedding insurance may have been highlighted by news that couples may be left out of pocket due to one wedding firm ceasing trading.
More than 130 brides and grooms are waiting to hear if their ceremonies will take place after the future of four venues has been put in jeopardy, the BBC reports.
Aspire Venues went out of business before Christmas and a meeting has been scheduled to discuss the organisation's debt levels.
Three of the four wedding sites owned by the company have been handed over to new businesses, which could mean nuptials will not be affected.
"The owner and myself want nothing other than to honour these weddings and to ensure the bride and groom have a memorable day. Even if it is at a loss," operations at the Eastington Park venue Michael Porter stated.
Aspire's closure has led to the loss of 19 full-time jobs and 20 staff who were employed casually, according to Business Credit Management.
