Couple celebrate Valentine’s wedding 3 weeks after engagement
After deciding in January to tie the knot, a couple from the north-east successfully managed to pull off their dream ceremony in less than a month.
Claire Harris proposed to Louis Noman just weeks before Valentine's Day and the couple decided February 14th would be the perfect date for their nuptials, the Hull Daily Mail reports.
"There's not a day more romantic day than Valentine's Day.
"It is a day for lovers and I wanted to do something we would always be able to remember," the bride explained.
However, this left the pair with just three weeks to arrange aspects such as wedding insurance, flowers, food and a cake.
Despite the short notice, the couple managed to pull off the wedding with help from Ms Harris' mother, who contributed towards the costs.
Ms Harris may not be the only woman to pop the question in 2012, as tradition states ladies can ask their partners to marry them during a leap year.
