Aretha Franklin cancels wedding plans
Browsing for wedding insurance policies may have been postponed by Aretha Franklin following the announcement she has put her nuptials on hold.
The singer revealed earlier this month that she and long-time friend Willie Wilkerson were engaged.
However, a newly-released statement has explained the summer ceremony Franklin spoke of is now unlikely to happen.
"Will and I have decided we were moving a little too fast and there were a number of things that had not been thought through thoroughly. There will be no wedding at this time," the statement read.
Franklin, who is known for hits such as I Say A Little Prayer and Respect, is no stranger to marriage, as she has walked down the aisle twice previously.
It seems the star may be hoping to ensure her third union is more successfully by not rushing into any big decisions.
The statement explained how the couple plan to say no more on the topic of their postponed wedding, as the details are personal and private.
