All time favourite honeymoon hotspots
When choosing your honeymoon destination, there are many aspects to consider, primarily your budget. Most couples choose a beach holiday as their honeymoon where they can relax after the wedding, go for romantic walks on the beach, dine out in candle lit restaurants and pamper themselves. Other couples may prefer a city break or a more adventurous activity holiday with diving or windsurfing.
If you are planning to go abroad as newlyweds and have cash to spend, Bora Bora is the most special destination where you can stay in over-water villas over the turquoise lagoon. The private terraces of St Regis Resort have ladders so when you wake up, you are able to go for a refreshing morning swim straight from your villa. If you are more adventurous then why not book a scuba diving course also? Learning to dive in warm waters is a lot more pleasant than in the seas around the UK.
If you are looking to explore a different culture, then another great destination is the Lake Palace of Udaipur in India. The Lake Palace is built on an island in the middle of Lake Pichola and from a distance it appears to float on the shimmering surface of the water. Fans of James Bond films may recognise it as the classic Octopussy was filmed there. India is a truly magical country and with its culture and scenery there is a lot to discover.
New York, on the other hand is a perfect destination if you are after a city break and a spot of shopping to spend some of the money given as a wedding gift. There are rooftop restaurants with great views over the Big Apple at night where you can spend romantic evenings as a couple.
Italy is another popular romantic honeymoon destination, where at the Palazzo Terranova you can swim in the large swimming pool whilst enjoying the scenery of the Umbrian hills. They also have rooms with four poster beds and a Jacuzzi.
However, if you prefer staying in the UK or just not a fan of flying then why not stay in Cornwall for your honeymoon? The Pinuccia private yacht at the Hotel Tresanton can sail you around the Cornish coastline and drop you off to explore the Cornish coves and secluded beaches. The hotel itself was furnished by the famous hotelier Olga Polizzi who appeared in the last few series of the Hotel Inspector.
These are just a few ideas for a perfect honeymoon, but no matter what your budget or destination is as long as you choose the right one for you, you will have a fabulous and relaxing time!
